POKOTABI / nemos
nemos
Italian restaurant nemos in Kugayama serves an appealing variety of small plates, from Grana Padano and pickled myoga to chicken liver crostini, paired with draft Heartland beer and wines by the glass.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
For anyone looking for an unpretentious Italian meal over a glass of wine, nemos in Kugayama is an address worth keeping in mind. A comfortable way to settle in here is with a draft Heartland beer or a glass of sparkling wine, shaping the table to your liking with affordable small plates. Bites suited to kicking off the meal include rich Grana Padano cheese served by the portion and pickled myoga ginger with its refreshing acidity.
The antipasti selection also features comforting, gently prepared warm dishes alongside seafood offerings. Slowly cooked, tender cabbage and a fluffy seasonal vegetable frittata partner naturally with the daily white or rosé wines. Richer flavors that call for red wine are well accounted for as well, including chicken liver paste crostini, autumn bonito tartare, and baby octopus simmered in a mildly spicy tomato sauce.
The dining room carries a calm, casual feel, making it equally welcoming for solo visitors dropping in for a quick drink and a plate or two. After dinner, digestifs like grappa, alongside espresso and dessert, provide a gentle conclusion to the evening. With dinner service from Wednesday through Friday and lunch on weekends, it is an easy destination to choose when you want good Italian cooking woven into your everyday schedule.
